Kwang-Taek LEE (Korea) : Social Security in the Age of the 4th Industrial Revolution

Prof. Kwang-Taek LEE

Prof. Kwng-Taek LEE is professor emeritus of College of Law, the Kookmin University in Seoul, Korea. He graduated from the College of Law, the Seoul National University and got his Dr. jur. degree at the University of Bremen in Germany. He was one of the founding members of the Korea Labor Institute in 1988. As a professor of law since 1994, he served as the presidents of the Korean Society for Labour Law(KSLL), the Korean Industrial Relations Research Association (KIRRA), and the Korean Association of Social Security Law(KASSL).

Prof. LEE is the Executive Committee Member of the ISLSSL since 2003 and used to be the Vice President representing Asia and Pacific (2012-2015). He was the General Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the 14th World Congress of the ISLSSL held in Seoul in 1994.

He was a member of Labor Policy Advisory Committee of the National Assembly, Policy Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Labor and a Conciliator at the National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK). Still he is active as the Chairman of the Deregulation, the Ministry of the Gender E
quality and Family.

He is the Vice President of the ILO Association of Korea. As the executive director of the Work Together Foundation, he organized the biennial Asian Social Entrepreneurs Summit since 2008 and the Social Enterprise World Forum in Seoul in 2014. As the President of the Korea Economic Justice Institute, he is representing one of the leading civil movement groups in Korea.
